Relaxing Rainy Sunday

During this past raining Sunday, Emma, Mommy and Daddy all took naps on the couch. She slept almost 3 hours. Mommy thinks maybe afternoon naps on the couch are going to happen more often in the future if she sleeps like that!

My banana

Emma has become quite the independent eater. She wants to do everything herself,
including holding and eating bananas.

Museum of Science and dinner with Georgia

We had a wonderful day at the Museum of Science with Kara and Brendan and their daughter Georgia. The girls did alot of exploring. Afterwards, they all came over for dinner long with our friends Dan and Ellen who are expecting.
They definitely got their fill of what to expect from one year olds!

From puzzles and pegs...

To magnets and kisses....

Lots of fun riding and pushing the wagon...
and even feeding each other. Too cute!
It's wonderful how the girls actually interact and play with each other now.

Playdate with Noah, Kathryn and Conor

We had a wonderful playdate with friends today. Emma greeted Noah with a hug and a kiss.

Emma showed Betsy and Kathryn one of her favorite toys, the "What's inside box?"

Kathryn and Noah playing together. Its wonderful how the babes are now interacting together instead of just parallel play.

The boys especially loved the tunnel. The girls...not so much so.

Turks and Caicos

Emma's footprints in the sand

Here are a few pictures from our vacation to the British Virgin Islands of Turks and Caicos. The weather was in the mid 80s during the day and 60s at night. Emma loved the sand and water. so much so we had to keep a close eye on her as she loved to run into the water herself when given a chance. A bit exhausting for Mom and Dad. Emma made friends where ever she went and had quite a few fans by the time we left. Here was a typical day...beach in the morning, pool in the afternoon...

Let's go to the water Daddy (Daddy is now one of her favorite words, no longer Dada but Dadeee)

Wow, big wave Mama!

More water fun...

Hhhmm...wat's is this stuff anyway?

After lots of fun on the beach, Emma actually took a her morning nap under the umbrella...what a beach bum!

Come on guys let's go to the pool

After a long hard day of playing, it was nap time before dinner. Emma was back to a 2 hour nap in the afternoon after running herself into the ground. Good thing the pool and hot tub were right outside our patio for mom and dad.

Now it's off to dinner in my pretty party dress. Mommy says I look so cute toddling around in dresses it maybe the only thing I wear this summer.
